JBM 2017 – Λογοπεδικός στο Νηπιαγωγείο Λεοντείου

For all pre-schooled children, oral language has a central role to communicative, educational and social development. Thus, the need to provide a specialist service that facilitates and supports language skills of children aged 5 to 6 is of great significance. Collaborative work between the education staff and the logopedist is promoted in such a way as to incorporate the planning of a language programme in the context of the curriculum.
The logopedist can be together with the nursery teachers in the classroom or carry out individual and group sessions for children with speech difficulties and/or poor phonological awareness skills. Timetabled sessions for discussion help the teachers and the logopedist exchange information about all children’s performance in language activities and develop skills and strategies in dealing with children with speech and language difficulties.
Collaboration-sharing could provide a more quality service in the eyes of parents.
